Best of the best at Bliss Bistro

Foodies from the South can rejoice as the newest go-to restaurant, Bliss Bistro is officially up and running at Browsers Garden and Home Center. The news gets even better – the restaurant is now open from Tuesday to Sunday from 08:00 to 22:00 – complete with live entertainment to enhance your blissful experience. Fridays and Saturdays you can expect entertainment from DJ’s and on a Sunday, a live band will set the mood for a great afternoon or evening

Bliss Bistro was opened by Jose De Freitas, former owner of Shakers Cocktail Bar in Maboneng. At Bliss Bistro, just like at Shakers, Jose believes in serving quality food with a fun twist. Gourmet fries, sauces made from scratch, and deep fried pancakes with a milktart filling, are just some of the interesting items on the menu.

On weekends, a full buffet breakfast is served, complete with five different pastries, full Continental and English breakfast foods, cereals and fruit platters. Jose’s partner Heather, is a qualified pâtissier and loves experimenting with food just as much as Jose.

Bliss Bistro brings something for the entire family. There is a large play area for the children, while you sip on a craft beer or crazy milkshake (expect flavours such as peanut butter and Oreo). Pair your food with something from the extensive drinks menu, such as craft gin or an unusual whiskey.

tame TIMES suggests trying out the pork belly – Masala seasoned slow baked, served with their beer cheese sauce, strawberry brandy coulis and parmesan crisps. The quesadilla range is always a great go-to meal, plated beautifully to make it even more appetising.
