Boyfriend sentenced for Kloof Road stabbing

The boyfriend of a domestic worker recently found dead in Kloof Road, Bedfordview has been sentenced with eight years imprisonment at the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.

He was brought under investigation after he disappeared from the couple’s place of residence, around the time his girlfriend’s lifeless body was found face down in a pool of blood by her employer.
According to Warrant Officer Mduduzi Nhlabathi he had been staying with the domestic worker in her apartment on the employer’s Bedfordview property.

He said a patrol officer had been called to the scene of a suspected murder in the road on 25 June 2013 at about 1.15pm. On arrival he had been taken to the back room of the property, where the domestic worker employed at the home was living.

“He entered the room to find the domestic worker lying behind the door, face down in a pool of blood,” he said.

He said on investigation, it was ascertained the victim had been stabbed multiple times.

Paramedics declared her dead at the scene of the crime.
