Referee BURIED East Rand United
On Saturday, 09 July 2016, East Rand United Rugby Club(ERU) from Reiger Park in Boksburg played a local derby against Boksburg Rugby Club in Boksburg.
Full Time Score: East Rand United (ERU) 20 – BOKSBURG 21.
Half time Score: East Rand United (ERU) 10 – BOKSBURG 13.
The rugby community of ERU and Reiger Park was shock by the decisions of the referee during the derby rugby match against Boksburg Rugby club. The game was played at Prince George stadium in Boksburg.
According to the referee, Boksburg played a perfect game during the first half. He penalies ERU all the time, while he penalies Boksburg once in a while. ERU couldn’t play their normal running rugby, because the referee always called them back. ERU destroyed Boksburg in the scrums, but still the referee gave the advantage to Boksburg.
The cherry on the cake was in the 75th minute of the game when ERU led 20-16. ERU was attacking when Sakkie Klaas, Loosehead prop of ERU received the ball with an open try line. Than the impossible happened: the referee ran in front of Sakki Klaas. The referee apologise, but this was one of few incidents that really cost ERU the game. The speeders of ERU was pulled back when they were on attack and off the ball incidents was unnoticed by the referee.
The management, coaching staff and all the supporters was shocked by the way the referee handle the game.
MAN OF THE MATCH: The Man of the Match was the Loosehead Prop of ERU, Sakkie Klaas and the front row of ERU. The destroyed Boksburg during scrum-times.
