I would like to commend Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital based at Vosloorus for the good service rendered to my late mother. My mother suffered a stroke and was first admitted at Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital in December last year. She was discharged and later re-admitted after her health started deteriorating and her blood pressure was very high. She was re-admitted for two weeks from 16 February to 3 March 2017 (when she passed away).

Despite the fact that we lost my mother but the overall service was excellent from the security guards at the gate to all the nursing staff. They were friendly and helpful. At the waiting area there is also a notice board with contact details and photograph of the management that can be contacted incase a person wants to report any complaints. The security officers were even giving directions to people who are coming to visit their beloved ones who do not know the wards. Some were even accompanying hospital visitors. The hospital is clean; the cleaners are doing a good job, they are always moving up and down sweeping the floors.

I have realised that people are always complaining about our local hospitals but they should consider that these hospitals are operating on strict budgets. Hence we should acknowledge what the hospital staff are doing. Lastly l will also want to commend the mortuary department and the staff working in that department. They are very polite and helpful; they assisted everyone with dignity and sympathy.
