The launch of the new George Clooney and Julia Roberts movie, Money Monster, gives an added attraction for South African moviegoers, who have an opportunity to win cash by playing a game.
As part of the launch, lucky audience members are randomly selected to play the money-blowing machine and stand a chance of winning cash. The game was played after the film’s screening in Durban this past weekend, and will be played in Johannesburg this coming weekend (10, 11 and 12 June).
The exciting money-blowing machine game allows fans to get inside the machine and grab as many notes as possible within a period of 30 seconds. Fans can win up to R1 000 in half a minute.
The money-blowing machine cinema experience is something new to South African audiences and ideally complements the movie theme, which is, of course, money!
An added bonus is that Money Monster features a South African actor, Makhaola Ndebele, who plays Moshe Mambo, the leader of a miners’ strike in Johannesburg.
The dates and times for money-blowing machine launches at Sterk-Kinekor Sandton City in Johannesburg are:
