Note From The Editor

The weather is cold this week and the South African Weather Service says that the current cold snap will continue for a while. On Tuesday we experienced rain and hail, if this weather continues, we all have to make sure that we are dressed warm and eat warm food.

The parents or guardians should at least accompany their children to school especially those who are attending Day Care Centre’s and Primary School to make sure that that they are safe on this weather. The children should also not be allowed to play outside during this weather as they might suffer from colds and flu. In case you or your child are suffering from colds and flu don’t hesitate to check for the flu and cold medicines from MediRite Pharmacy specials as advertised on page 5 of the newspaper. For hot meals and ingredients that will keep you warm this winter check out for Spar advertisement on page 7 , Meat express on page 4 ,Angus Meat Supply on page 9 and SY Wholesale Butchery on page 11. For entertainment purposes, Carnival City has advertised a concert on page 3.

Lastly; the motorists and taxi drivers should also refrain from speeding as the roads are slippery and many road accidents occur when it is raining. They should also check their tyres, worn out tyres must be replaced to reduce road carnages.
