Father’s day is around the corner and this is the week for mom and the children to prepare for good food and gifts. The man of the house must be spoiled and reminded by his family that they appreciate him. This is the week to go the extra mile on shopping for gifts and really having the Father’s day vibe.
In this weeks edition you will fi nd a Father’s day menu and the tips for gifts that might be nice for Father’s day gifts. I encourage all children to go the full way in spoiling their fathers this father’s day because it is day to show them your full thankfulness as children and your appreciation for what they have done in your lives.
This week I read up such a profound Father’s day poem titled ‘Life Lessons’ written by Joanna Fuchs.
You may have thought I did not see,
Or that I had not heard,
Life lessons that you taught to me,
But I got every word.
Perhaps you thought I missed it all,
And that we had grow apart,
But Dad, I picked up everything,
It is written on my heart.
Without you, Dad, I would not be
The person I am today;
You built a strong foundation
No one can take away.
I have grown up with your values,
And I am very glad I did;
So here’s to you, dear father,
From your forever grateful kid
While I interviewed DJ Roto, a well-known DJ in Windmill Park, he said something so profound. He said, “ I am a father to my son because my father has been a good father to me”. Let us be thankful to God for giving us great fathers and if your father might not have been present in your life, or might be gone from this life, keep them in heart because love still abounds.
