Selflessly contributing to the Community

Students from Reddam House, Bedfordview recently went beyond the requirements of the curriculum and their school, through their commitment to community work, accumulating an impressive number of Community Hours.

Reddam awards Gold certificates for students who have logged 120+ hours, Silver for 80 to 119 hours and Bronze for 40 to 79 hours. This year ten students achieved Gold, four achieved Silver and 16 achieved Bronze.

Reddam’s two top achievers in 2017 were Jessica Powell and Jonathan Ribeiro. At a recent awards assembly at the school, Jessica was awarded her Honours Blazer for service. During 2017 she was selected as the School Sleepout Ambassador which contributed towards her completing over 251 hours of community service. She also achieved an Honours for Sport.

Jonathan Ribeiro was awarded the Social Leadership Trophy for accumulating 301 hours of community service and received the Lowe Social Leadership Award for completing the most individual hours in 2017.

In total, students in the top 10 at Reddam volunteered 1 939 hours! They were inspired by their teacher Mr James Taylor to achieve these fantastic results.

The third highest achiever Kiandra Ramdari accumulated 228 hours and two Preparatory School students, Alyssa Powell and Matthew Ribeiro, 222 hours.
