For Father’s Day on Sunday 19 June, I decided to go all out and cook up a full on spread – your typical Sunday lunch roast.
Having taken more than half a day to complete, the meal turned out brilliantly if I may say so myself – even my kitty couldn’t resist!
Through all my cooking escapades I’ve thought a lot about getting into food blogging. Feast your eyes on my Father’s Day fare…
• Fluffy white rice
• Rosemary and garlic infused creamy mash potato
• Boereboontjies (mashed green beans, onion and potato)
• Sweet buttery pumpkin
• Roast beef and roast pork belly with thyme and rosemary
• Deconstructed apple pie (tin roof ice cream, cream, crumbled fudge and pecan shortbread, apple compote, pecan nuts and toffee sauce)
