TWO ARRESTED FOR DEALING DRUGS – R8,000 WORTH CONFISCATED

TWO ARRESTED FOR DEALING IN NYAUPE, HEROINE AND DAGGA – R8,000 WORTH OF DRUGS CONFISCATED

In an effort to crackdown on drug dealers in Gauteng, the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit partnered with JMPD and SAPS officers and swooped on the Johannesburg Central Business District on Thursday, 14 July. During the special operation dagga, nyaope and heroine valued at R8,000 was seized and two male suspects apprehended.

The operation commenced around 4pm and went well into the night with taverns and clubs being the main targets.

The two suspects were arrested at a tavern situated in De Villliers Street. One 33yr old Nigerian national and a 32yr old South African were charged at Johannesburg Central police station with possession and dealing in illicit substances and were expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 15 July.
