Ward 125 cleans up

The Democratic Alliance Ward 125 Branch executives arranged a clean up in the park situated opposite the Kibler Park Spar in Stanmore Crescent on Saturday 09 September.

The initiative was implemented by Ward 125 Branch Chairman Frank Diener, Ward 125 Branch Secretary Giesela Pattison and several other committee members in support of City of Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba’s A Re Sebetseng clean up campaign which he launched in Yeoville during August 2017.

“It was an amazing effort and the branch members that participated were shocked at the amount of rubble they cleared for the few hours they attended to the park,” said Diener.

“The aim is to make our public conscience of the indiscriminate littering around our city and to bring the attention to the impact it has on the environment. We therefore urge everybody to support this initiative and let’s create a cleaner and safer environment for us all,” added Diener.

Community members are kindly requested to show their support by dedicating a couple of hours on Saturday 30 September to pick up litter and clean up in their streets.
