Local News: Community parks open to the public
The City’s controlled access community parks are open, and ready to welcome members of the public.
However, residents are urged to follow the strict COVID-19 rules of always maintaining a social distance of 1.5m, wearing of cloth facemasks and regularly sanitising or washing hands.
The access-controlled parks operate from 06h00 to 18h00 daily. Security guards at the gate will monitor and manage the number of people entering to avoid overcrowding.

- Blaaupan Dam
- Gilloolys Farm
- Dries Niemandt Park
- Bulithando Multi-purpose Park
- Nomathamsanqa Multi-purpose Park
- Barcelona Regional Park
- Germiston Lake
- Alberton Dam
