Twin birthday tragedy as brothers fall to their death
A twin birthday celebration was marred by tragedy when two brothers plunged to their death in Shaka’s Rock, KwaZulu-Natal.
The twin brothers who were celebrating their 62nd birthday at a North Coast chalet were posing for pictures when the wooden railing on their third floor balcony gave way behind them.
Both brothers and a woman who was with them were found in a critical condition by paramedics.
Despite efforts to stabilize all three of the patients, emergency rescue personnel said the condition of the two men deteriorated rapidly and they both succumbed to their injuries on scene.
The female was transported to a nearby facility under the care of the IPSS Medical Rescue.
According to reports the fall was about 15meters and the incident has left the family in shock.
