Woman killed in a two-vehicle collision on Swartkoppies Road in Liefde-en-Vrede, Johannesburg
This morning, a woman in her 20s was killed in a collision between two light motor vehicles on Swartkoppies Road in Liefde-en-Vrede, Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 02h40 to find two wrecked vehicles in the middle of the road.
On closer inspection, medics found a woman’s body, believed to be in her 30s, lying inside the one vehicle. Another man and another woman were walking around the scene.
Medics assessed the patients and found that the woman in the car had already succumbed to her injuries. Nothing could be done for her, and she was declared dead.
The other woman and man were assessed and found to have sustained only minor injuries. Both patients declined treatment and transportation to a hospital.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
